Hoosier Hills Sees Solid Growth in 2007 and Looks Forward to 2008

While warm weather and gas prices were an issue poised to temper the weekend, the 2007
Hoosier Hills Fiberarts Fair went into the record as an unqualified success.  The Johnson
County Fairgrounds was a beehive of activity, appealing to a wide range of interests and
drawing plenty of visitors to keep the 60+ vendors busy.  The parking lots were filled and an
air of optimism permeated the festival visitors, vendors and organizers.

Bonnie Sherer's basket weaving class and Ann Brown & Letty Klein's rug braiding classes
drew positive attention. Those who took the classes were pleased with their projects. Visit
our activities page to see our new classes and competitions and information regarding Bags
to Riches 2008.

Scott Hall and Herring Hall were filled with a vast variety of vendors, fulfilling the desires of the
festival visitors.  As a result, we are moving Herring Hall vendors to a larger, more
comfortable McGill Hall.  The vendors that checked out McGill Hall gave the organizers a huge "thumbs up".

In 2008, there will be classes, competitions, prize drawings, and the art gallery.  Fiber art
vendors and other artisans along with vendors of fiber and all types of fiber related supplies
will be present.

As of the middle of March, Scott Hall is full.  Vendors are sending their contracts in at a
faster pace than in previous years!  The diversity of the vendors is very exciting.  We look
forward to seeing happy faces on the customers as they make their purchases, looking
forward to returning home and creating their personal christmas gifts for friends and family
(maybe even something for themselves).
